Hi, let me introduce myself – I’m Nat. I live with my family in a small village on the outskirts of Northumberland. We moved here in 2005 from a rented hosue with large garden to our own home with a very small garden (12×9ft). In a mad moment we decided to convert our lawned front garden to a veg plot…
So last autumn we dug it up, removed a concrete path and stood in awe at a big pile of mud!
Hurrah! spring has arrived (almost) and now we are going to turn our mud patch into a vegetable garden made up of two raised beds, one a L shape 3mx2m and a small seed/veg bed 1×1m.
Having never grown veg before this could be a total disaster or the best idea we’ve ever had… so watch this space to see whether we come good xxxx

Wow! I love this site. It looks so good. Agreed, its good to have a fellow northern veg grower on the blogroll. Good luck with the adventure! I’ll be back to see how things are growing…
Thanks just need the garden to look as good! Good luck to you to
Aha, somewhere to visit when I feel homesick for the North! I’m a Brummie but Newcastle feels like home…
Looks great. I’m tring something simular. And in the same boat. I hope you are successful, and grow lots of good veg. Especially with the price of fruit & veg at the moment. Well done. I hope I can do as well as you. Your pics are very inspiring.
